Express Employment is looking for Assembly Candidates for a local company in Grand Rapids. Positions are available immediately. Starting Wage is $12.50/hr.
Position Description:
Perform a variety of production operations related to the manufacturing of machines using air/power tools and hand tools. Provide department support, observe safety regulations, and attend work regularly.
Responsibilities:
oPosition, measure and assemble and secure parts according to blueprints, specified tolerances, special instructions and unit specifications.
oOperate equipment such as; grinder, impact, sander, drill press, fixtures and gauges, and hand toolsto aid in manufacturing.
o Comply with corporate/departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience: prefer assembly experience in a heavy equipment environment. Requires hands on experience mechanical aptitude, tools and equipment operation.
SKILLS:
oGood mechanical aptitude.
oAbility to use hand and powered tools.
oAbility to read blueprints, technical instructions and work orders.
oExcellent problem solving skills, judgment and decision making skills
oAbility to manage multiple tasks / projects at one time
oGood verbal and written communication skills
oAbility to work with minimal guidance
PHYSICAL WORK DEMAND: Must be able to stand, bend, stoop for 10 hours.
