DescriptionThe Maintenance Worker will attend to the general building maintenance and minor repairs at properties owned by North Homes, Inc.
This includes but is not limited to the interior and exterior of all buildings, mechanical equipment, and grounds.
This position may also be responsible for general cleaning and janitorial duties.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES (JOB SPECIFIC)Maintenance of Offices and FacilitiesResponsible for managing small operations-based projectsAttend to building maintenance and minor repairRespond to work orders in a timely mannerComplete ground maintenance (mowing, snow removal, etc.
)Attend meetings as scheduledAssists in examining facility for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to Program Director.
Provide input to agency administrationCustodial DutiesMay perform general cleaning and janitorial duties in all areas of the building, including cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms and cafeteria.
Maintain a neat and orderly janitors' room; ensure cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
Wash windows as neededOther duties may be assigned to this position periodically depending on the needs of the agency and/or Human Resources Director.
RequirementsMINIMUM
Qualifications:
The Maintenance Worker must be a responsible, mature and healthy adult with knowledge of good safety procedures and the ability to safely and efficiently use all equipment and tools necessary for the job.
They must also possess good communication skills, the ability to work with outside suppliers, knowledge of toxic chemical disposal, physical agility, strength and stamina.
Preference:
Two year technical or vocational degree and/or 2 years of experience.
Individual must be non-judgmental in regards to lifestyle, race and/or economic status of clients.
Must be 21 years old and have a valid Minnesota Drivers License.
